Chris Pine wins International Man of the Year 2016
28 September 2016   Publicado por Mireia

Whether he was showing every leading man how to dress at Cannes Film Festival 2016, or whether he’s just nailing his red carpet look, chances are Chris Pine is getting it right.

The Star Trek star has come an extremely long way since he first appeared in an ER episode in 2003 and has appeared in movies such as Horrible Bosses 2 (alongside Jennifer Aniston), This Means War, Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice and the soon to be released Hell Or High Water.

Basically, if there’s one actor who is dominating our screens, it’s Chris Pine.

Confirmed guests (we had already sussed out Tom Hiddleston for Skull Island) include Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Eddie Redmayne, Colin Farrell, Charlie Hunnam and Will Arnett.

Chris Pine has closed a deal to play Steve Trevor in “Wonder Woman”
29 July 2015   Publicado por Mireia

Patty Jenkins is directing the comic book movie for Warner Bros., which will release the film in 2017

Chris Pine has closed a deal to play Steve Trevor opposite Gal Gadot in “Wonder Woman,” TheWrap has learned. Pine joins the DC Movie Universe in a multi-picture deal that includes sequel options, according to insiders.

Steve Trevor will be no mere love interest for Gadot’s Diana Prince, as there will be plenty of action to keep him busy, though plot details remain under wraps.

There had been speculation that Pine was up for a role in WB’s upcoming “Green Lantern Corps” and that the “Wonder Woman” rumors were just a smokescreen, but that particular popular fanboy theory proved to be unfounded.

Patty Jenkins is directing “Wonder Woman,” which Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder are producing with Charles Roven and Richard Suckle of Atlas Entertainment. Jason Fuchs wrote the script after working with Warner Bros. on Joe Wright’s “Pan.”

Wonder Woman will be introduced in next year’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” before her solo movie hits theaters on June 23, 2017.

Chris Pine And Zachary Quinto Sign Deals For Fourth Star Trek Film
19 July 2015   Publicado por Mireia

If – and despite the studio’s driving need for franchises and the evergreen nature of the title, it is still just ‘if’ – Paramount decides to make a Star Trek 4, it can count on Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock reporting for duty. Actors Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto have renegotiated their contracts to allow for a fourth Trek adventure, in a move that also boosts their salary.

It’s all part of deal negotiations that have taken place as the third Star Trek movie – called, at least for now, Star Trek Beyond – finally cranks up the ol’ warp drive and moves into production, with Pine, Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg and the rest scoring wage raises along the way.

Not much is known about the third Trek movie’s plot so far – rumours have included more action with the Klingons – and Pegg, who has co-written the current script with Doug Jung, has said he wanted to get back into the exploration and adventure at which Star Trek excels. We do know that Justin Lin is the man guiding the action this time and the movie has started filming in Vancouver. It’ll arrive here on July 8 next year.

‘Wet Hot American Summer’: Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Jon Hamm & Jason Schwartzman Join Cast
28 January 2015   Publicado por Mireia

More big names are joining the large ensemble cast of Netflix’s limited series Wet Hot American Summer. I hear Chris Pine, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig and Jason Schwartzman have been tapped for guest starring/recurring roles in the eight-part series from Michael Showalter and David Wain.

They join some 20 returning cast members from the movie, including Wiig’s SNL co-star Amy Poehler, Showalter, Elizabeth Banks, H. Jon Benjamin, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, Christopher Meloni, A.D. Miles, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon and Kevin Sussman, as well as another dozen of newcomers including Michaela Watkins, Hamm’s Mad Men co-star John Slattery, Josh Charles, Randall Park, Jayma Mays, Lake Bell, Paul Scheer, Rob Huebel and Richard Schiff.

I hear Hamm will play a secret spy, Wiig is playing a snobby counselor at the preppy rival camp Camp Tigerclaw, Schwartzman is the boy’s camp head counselor while Pine’s character is described as mysterious. Netflix declined comment. The 2001 cult film was set on the last day at a fictional Jewish summer camp in 1981; the series is set on the first day. Neflix just released a first teaser for the project, set to debut in the summer.

Showalter and Wain — who wrote the movie — created the limited series, with Wain reprising directing duties and Showalter serving as showrunner. The two are executive producing alongside the film’s producer Howard Bernstein, Jonathan Stern and Peter Principato.

Pine, repped by CAA, John Carrabino Management and attorney Michael Gendler, co-stars in Into thTe Woods and was in Sundance for Z For Zachariah. He next will be seen in Finest Hours. Bridesmaids star Wiig has just been confirmed as one of the leads of the Ghostbusters reboot.
